Booking and payment terms – Cancellation policy

Rates

The prices indicated on the present site are prices including all taxes (Toutes Charges Comprises) in euros (€), VAT included, excluding tourist taxes. These are the prices for bookings made directly with Les Hauts d’Avignon without an intermediary.

Prices are per room, per night, for up to two people in a double room, for the chosen period.

Breakfasts, drinks and meals are not included in the price and are billed separately according to the menu available on site.

Tourist tax is extra, in accordance with current regulations.

Our rates and offers are subject to availability at the time of booking and may not be renewed for subsequent bookings.

Conditions, rates and offers are subject to change without notice.

As the ambiances of the house change frequently, the photos available on this site and on social networks are non-contractual.

Tourist tax

Tourist tax is a local tax that customers must pay to the owners, who then pay it to the Commune de Rochefort du Gard.

In accordance with article L 2333-29 et seq. of the Code Général des Collectivités Territoriales, the tourist tax is payable per night and per person, from January 1 to December 31 inclusive.

Rates have been set at 5% of the amount of each overnight stay per person (limited to a maximum of €3, except on reservation platforms). Minors are exempt.

How to reserve

Any reservation requested by a customer is subject to written confirmation by Les Hauts d’Avignon (e-mail). The customer must provide us with an e-mail address and a cell phone number.

At the time of booking, Les Hauts d’Avignon invites the customer to check the following elements:

  • Contact details – in particular email address and cell phone number – so that you can be reached before and during the booking process.
  • Room(s) booked, number of people, arrival date, departure date, number of nights, personalized requests (arrival and departure times, transfers, etc.).
  • The total price of the reservation, the amount indicated being inclusive of tax, excluding tourist tax.

If the booking meets expectations, we invite the customer to pay the deposit within 48 hours. The deposit represents 30% of the total amount of the service booked.

Once the deposit has been received, the reservation becomes effective. By paying the deposit, the customer confirms full acceptance of the general conditions and house rules specified here.

If the deposit is not paid within the specified time, the reservation will not be confirmed.

Consequently, after 48 hours, the owner reserves the right to re-let the room(s).

This deposit will be deducted from the total invoice on the day the balance is paid.

Number of people

Reservations are made for a specific number of people.

If, on arrival, the number of people does not correspond to the number of rooms reserved, Les Hauts d’Avignon will refuse the extra people, or will offer them an extra room at the current rates and if availability permits.

In the absence of additional availability, the decision to refuse additional guests cannot be considered as a modification or breach of contract on the part of Les Hauts d’Avignon. Thus, in the event of the departure of a greater number of clients than those refused, the conditions for cancellation of the stay will apply and the total amount of the stay will be invoiced and due as soon as the clients leave. No refund will be possible.

In case of availability, the additional reservation will be taken on the spot; the terms of payment on arrival or the following morning will apply to the total amount of the reserved stay.

Payment terms for privatizations

For privatizations, payment is made in 3 instalments (by credit card, PayPal or bank transfer):
– A 1st instalment of 30% of the quote is required on receipt of the reservation.
– A 2nd instalment of 30% is required 45 days before the rental date.
– The balance is payable 10 days before the rental date. If you wish to pay the balance by bank transfer, you must arrange for it to be transferred to our account no later than 10 days before the rental period.

Reservations only become effective once the 1st deposit has been received, and payment of this deposit implies acceptance of the general terms and conditions.

In the case of privatization, a deposit of €2,000 is required.

This deposit is in the form of a cheque (not cashed).

When you arrive, we will ask you for full credit card details in addition to this cheque.

On your departure, we’ll give you a general tour of the property.

In the event of damage (within 48 hours of your departure), the cost of repair or replacement will be charged to this card and an additional invoice will be issued.

The deposit cheque will then be returned.

Length of stay

The stay is agreed for a fixed period, specified in the written confirmation sent to the customer.

Under no circumstances may the customer claim any right to remain in the premises.
We require a minimum 2-night rental for bed and breakfast accommodation.

We accept payment in € only:

  • species ,
  • bank cheque (drawn on a French bank),
